SOMAR was invited by the Lagos Municipality (as coordinating entity) to be one of the partners of the Lagos Nautical Station. The signing of the cooperation agreement between SOMAR and the Lagos Nautical Station Partners Network took place in February 2021 and the evaluation commission of Fórum Oceano approved the application in April 2021, certifying the Lagos Nautical Station, which becomes part of the network of 26 Nautical Stations of Portugal.

The Lagos Nautical Station offers the population, visitors, tourists and recreational boaters a set of organized experiences and proposals that work in a network. The optimization of natural resources, infrastructure and equipment existing in the territory, with the integration of new economic agents, which include a rich offer of nautical activities, accommodation, catering and other services/activities relevant to attracting tourists, are the basis of the Lagos Nautical Station.
